Perceive
Perceive 2023 Audio-visual Performance Duration: 33'00"
< Perceive > observes and captures the rules, forms, phenomena, and relationships that exist in the world we live in.
The fast or slow cycles of the captured visual scenes are reconstructed and emphasized themselves together with the created sound. As the various forms and movements of numerous lives in the natural ecosystem are juxtaposed with phenomena such as the rapid pace and system of modern civilized society, it induces viewers to observe the similarities and differences between the two worlds. Our gaze at artificial nature or virtual natural images captured in modern civilized society, takes a contemplative attitude and shows longing for nature at the same time.
At such a point, what kind of existence is nature perceived by humans today? Can we divide nature and human beings dichotomously? lists the phenomena that exist in the world we live in today, and focuses on revealing rather than providing answers about the relationship between nature and humans.
